At GEMC we believe that a group of people like us cannot help save our poor blue/green ball without a sense of fun and adventure. There are some really fine professionals with varied skills that make up our team, but the core founders are the little family pictured below with our plug-in hybrid electric Prius.

For years we have wanted to do something significant to help with our country’s air pollution and our dependence on oil that causes so much of that problem. Research showed us that electric vehicles could reduce global warming and all the attending problems, if we could only bring those quiet, zero emission vehicles to the public who is so ready for a solution. We were mighty disappointed and angry when GM crushed the EV1.  But we didn’t allow that one corporation’s financial short sightedness crush our hope for a wonderful world for our children and grandchildren.

This last spring we drove 5,000 miles throughout the state of Florida to bring attention to the need for electric vehicles. We visited with automotive technicians from all over the state to show them the technology that was coming, and to challenge them to become the technicians who have the skills to maintain these quiet, clean vehicles.

We realized that charging stations must precede the wider spread acceptance of electric cars so we have partnered with a company out of Tampa, FL to help them market what we think are the finest satellite-connected, smart charging stations in existence. In our combined multi decades of being environmentalists we had run across many other products and services that have helped us decrease our wastefulness. We knew that people want to “green up” their transportation, their homes, their businesses, their lives and even their deaths. And so was born GEMC.

We now represent  businesses who have honestly wonderful green products. If a business doesn’t pay their workers a living wage or they do not recycle or their products are not truly helpful environmentally, we do not represent them.
